Meeting Minutes: March

The March meeting started off with a teach-in conducted by Nathan Nickerson.

The theme for the night, My Favorite Magic trick. Nathan showed us some of his favorite card sleights and a cool money prediction. Thanks Nate for the great tips!

The business portion of the meeting was called to order with 29 members and guest present. Topics discussed included Open House guests, member’s health issues, club blog, youth group restarted and has 3 new members, treasury report and upcoming events.

A few games were played, youth members Jeremy, Ben and Evan played a round of the alphabet game that was hysterical. After a short break, we had the club’s monthly raffle of over twenty items. Some lucky members got some great new toys. Special thanks to Dave Kloman and Stan Telatovich for their magical donations.  A new game was played (things about club members that no one would know) Nathan secretly asked members to tell a little something about their self that no one knew and then read them randomly. The members then tried to guess who it was. The winner won a raffle ticket. Wow! The things you learn at a meeting!

The theme of the night performances included:

Gene Burrell- ring off string, Jeffrey Sobel- color changing balls, Beau Broomall- card routine (How to cheat fairly), Nathan Nickerson- walk around magic, Perry Vath – with a 6 card deck, Bill Metsch- bent a spoon, Bill Mikulas- blank cards and Dave Kloman with his hamper of toys. Thanks to all that came and see you next month!
