October Meeting Preview

Happy October everyone!

Our October meeting is just around the corner! October 20th to be exact! We’re going to have a ton of things to do and discuss. Here’s a brief overview of what we’ve got planned.

I’ll begin the meeting around 6:30pm with a teach-in. The trick I’ll be describing is a self working card prediction where the spectator actually does all of the work! This particular trick just caused quite a sensation with my friends. I’ll be sure to include the hilarious story in the teach-in.

At 6:45 we’ll begin the business portion of the meeting. Quite a lot to discuss. The main two topics will be the Awards Banquet (Nov. 17th) and the Annual Public show (Nov. 19th).  I’ve also received a couple of e-mails requesting GCMG shows. We’ll discuss who would be available and what our best options would be. To conclude the business portion we will have our election of officers for 2012. Several current officers will not be able to return for the next year. After the election of officers we will play a couple of games! I’ve created a new game that could possibly be one of the funniest/most challenging games to date. I’ll also have another history quiz with raffle ticket prizes.

After the break we’ve got a ton planned! Our raffle will include a bunch of new items, the SYM members will perform a show for everyone, we will also have a mystery bag contest (the items in the bags will make it worth entering). Be sure to bring some spooky magic to perform!
